Conditional sentences الجمل الشرطية

هي جمل تتكون من جزئين الجزء الأول يبدأ بأداة الشرط والجزء الثاني يكون فيه جواب الشرط ومن الممكن أن يسبق جواب الشرط الشرط نفسه وفي النهاية تتكون لدينا جملة معقدة تحتوي على جملة أساسية وأيضا فرعية وسنقوم بشرح أنواع الجمل لاحقا

They are sentences consisting of two parts, the first part begins with the conditional tool (if), and the second part contains the answer to the condition. It is possible that the answer to the condition precedes the condition itself. In the end, we have a complex sentence that contains a main clause as well as a subordinate, and we will explain the types of sentences later.

Zero conditional الحالة الصفرية

Form: If present simple, present simple.

Usage:

الحقائق العلمية والثوابت العامة التي من المؤكد حدوثها

Ex

If you freeze water, it becomes ice.

If the metal gets hot, it expands.

If you heat ice, it melts.

First conditional الحالة الأولى

Form: If present simple, future simple.

Usage:

للتعبير عن حدث من المحتمل حدوثه في المستقبل

Ex

If he studies hard, he will get a full mark.

If you see clouds, it will rain.

If we see the weather is hot, we will stay at home.

Second conditional الحالة الثانية

Form: If past simple, would inf.

Usage:

حالة التمني أو التخيل يكاد يكون مستحيل

Ex

If I were a doctor, I would treat poor people for free.

If I had a car, I would travel to many cities in my country.

If we had a million pounds, we would buy a villa.

Third conditional الحالة الثالثة

Form: If past perfect, would have past participle.

Usage:

حالة الندم على حدث تم في الماضي ولن يتغير

Ex

If I had not joined the faculty of education, I would have joined the faculty of physical therapy.

If I had had more money, I would have bought iPhone 13 pro max.

If my friend had called me earlier, I would have been there on time.
