من أكثر الحروف التي تواجه مشكلة في النطق عند تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية  C حرف

لغير الناطقين بها لأن عند اختلاف الأحرف أو الأصوات المجاورة بمعنى أصح من ذلك الحرف فسيختلف طريقة نطقه

Pronounce C /s/

 E, I, Y ينطق (س) إذا أتى بعده

Ex

City, circle, citizen, cinnamon, cigarette, circus, cipher, civil, cinema

Center, cell, celebrate, century, certificate, ceremony, force, certain

Cycle, cylinder, cyclone, fancy, bicycle, cyber, cyst, cyan.

Pronounce C /k/

E, I, Y ينطق (ك) إذا أتى بعده أي حرف آخر غير

وأيضا إذا اتى في اخر الكلمة

Ex

Camera, candy, call, court, car, cat, camel, couch, course, carry, comb, can, cave, camp, castle, career, computer, care, cost, count, command, cool, come, correct, code, core, corn, clean, close, cakeو Arabic, chronic, toxic, mimic, epic, public, dynamic, magic, clinic.

ولكن ليس دائما تنطق تش فلها بعض الشواذ Hينطق (تش) إذا أتى بعده حرف ال

 ستنتطق س والأخرى على حسب ما يليها C أول

ولكنها ليست قاعدة ثابتة
