المقدمة

علم الصوتيات هو علم مهم جدا لمعرفة نطق الاصوات بشكل صحيح والتمييز بينها وبين الحروف ولكن من المهم معرفة أيضا  الفرق بين(phonetics & phonology)

Phontics 

It is the study of speech sounds,their production,and the signs or symbols used to represent them.

هو علم يدرس أصوات الكلام وطريقة إنتاجها وايضا الإشارات أو الرموز التي تستخدم في التعبير عنها

 There are 3 kinds of phonetics 

1. Articulatory phonetics

The study of how the vocal tract produces the sounds by the speaker.

دراسة كيف ينتج الجهاز الصوتي الاصوات عن طريق المتحدث

2. Acoustic phonetics

The study of the physical transmission of sounds from the speaker to the listener.

دراسة الانتقال المادي للأصوات من المتحدث إلى المستمع

3. Auditory phonetics

The study of the reception or perception of sounds by the listener.

دراسة استقبال الاصوات بواسطة المستمع 

Phonology 

The study of sounds, especially different patterns of sounds in different languages. It studies how sounds are combine together to form words.

دراسة الأصوات وخاصة أنماط الأصوات المختلفة لمختلف اللغات ويدرس أيضا كيف تتجمع الاصوات معا لإنتاج كلمات
